about

two longform pieces:

"Habit Fills Up What Remains" is a piece composed for live performance using SuperCollider, modular synth, and trumpet. The piece is as long as it needs to be, and is pseudo-generative in its structure. There is a road map macro structure, but the moment-to-moment musical phrases are determined by chance elements within SuperCollider. This is one of the first performances of the piece, recorded in one take in the winter of 2016, but not mixed until the summer of 2021.

"Lose and Have Done with Losing" borrows elements from a piece written as a prelude to a theatrical run of Samuel Beckett's Endgame, mounted by Rapid Lemon Productions at the Motorhouse in Baltimore, MD in the Spring of 2017. Recomposed to its current form in August of 2021.
